Pictures from camping in Wildhorse and a trip to Silver City

 

  

 

The pictures from above are from a camping trip in Wildhorse, one of our families favorite places, near Mackay, Idaho.

These pictures are from a quick trip we took to Silver City, Idaho during a dead time inbetween rodeos.

A look back at 2011

To start off the year we took a feeding job for the Wyoming Game and Fish feeding elk in the Gros Ventre.

We bought two Clydesdale fillies.

Drilled our hay field four abreast with our teams.

 



Trevor day worked for the Rose Ranch in Snowville, Utah off and on through the year.

Picked up rodeos in between everything else going on.

Mowed hay with our teams.

                       Raking hay into windrows.

 

Trevor showed at the 2011 Nevada All Around Show in Winnemucca and won the 4 event snaffle class. Then we pulled a wagon in the Big Hitch Parade in Sun Valley with our Clyde fillies Dolly and Polly.

And to close the year Trevor and I got our pictures in three Stoecklein calendars and two datebooks.

A perfect year, can't wait for 2012.

We get a lot of people interested in the buck rakes we use to put up our hay. You don't see many around from the when they hayed with horses in the past. Mostly because the wood has rotted out of them and only the hardware has been left behind. The two buck rakes we have were build up from scratch, all we had to start with were the front axles, the lifter, and crazy wheels.

This year we were asked if we could bring a team and pull a wagon for the Sun Valley Wagon Day's parade. We used our 2 and 3 year of Clydesdale fillies. This was their first parade and second time to town. They were so good you would never have known that they were a set of young horses.
